Ethical Touring Policy for SBO Clients
1. Collaborative Scheduling:
- It shall not be the policy or booking strategy of any producer to intentionally interfere with the business of any other show.
2. Transparent Communication:
- Maintain open and transparent communication channels among circus organizers to foster trust and prevent misunderstandings.
3. Refunds and Customer Communication:
- Maintain open and proactive communication with customers in case of any changes to the scheduled performances, providing timely updates on rescheduling, cancellations, or any necessary adjustments.
- Ticket funds are not to be used or accessed until after the performance occurs (services rendered)
- In the case of canceled shows refunds may not be withheld for shows “rescheduled” to an unknown date.
4. Industry Accountability:
- Promote industry-wide accountability by encouraging other circuses to adopt similar ethical touring policies.
- Consider collaborating with industry associations to establish and promote ethical standards for touring circuses.
By adhering to this ethical touring policy, participating circuses commit to fostering a cooperative and sustainable environment, ensuring fair competition, and prioritizing the well-being of the communities they entertain.
